What do you work toward in your free time?

I guess... I work towards never working again…? What do I work towards…? I think I’m bombing this already…. Haha, I work towards better understanding the humans.

Are you Team Organic or Team GMO?

Over time I’ve become team Organic, but it depends on everyone's financial situation and what they can afford.

What's a dream project?

I like projects that have a positive impact on people's lives.

Fork or chopsticks?

Fork.

Water or La Croix? Why?

I’m getting onto La Croix lately. The little hint of flavor is nice and it’s good with vodka.

What pumps you up when you need to be on?

Coffee for sure.

What is your favorite new work tool?

It’s not new anymore but InVision prototyping.

Are you more of a hunter or a gatherer?

I enjoy the hunt.

What are some things that sound like compliments but are actually insults?

Odd question. I can’t think of one... but in general, don’t to be presumptuous.

Favorite sweet?

Ice cream, Salt & Straw's Honey Lavender flavor.

Best lesson your parents ever taught you?

DadadadaDAMN… That's a good one, for sure a good perspective on life.

What excites you most about digital?

The impact it has on people’s everyday life.

How much would you pay to go to the moon?

I’ve been trying to talk my daughters into becoming astronauts… so hopefully they do that and I can do it for free but, I would pay $6,000.

Describe your creative or development process. What are the major steps?

It varies, but typically you’ll start with defining what you’re trying to solve, business goals and user needs, and those become requirements that you document in a creative brief. Next, look for inspiration, sketch ideas, iterate, design and refine. When you’re done, reflect on the project, and ask questions. Always keep learning. Always improve.

What’s the next vacation you’re taking?

Probably to California for family gatherings with the in-laws.

Karaoke song?

Elvis is my go-to guy. Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog.

Where do you find inspiration to be excellent in your career?

Everywhere.. Being observant.

Last movie you saw in a theater?

La La Land. I don’t go to movies too often.

First video game you ever played?

Super Mario

What superpower would you like to have for a day?

Time travel.
