Colas Construction Case Study

Colas Construction - Building a New Future

Setting a The Bar With a New Construction Website

Colas Construction is one of the rare companies that aspire to go beyond the standard models of business in the construction industry. Spanning two generations of visionary leadership, the family-owned firm has built an authentic culture reflecting the diversity of the world today. In addition to being the only second generation African American owned construction company of its size in the Pacific Northwest, Colas has also cemented a reputation for their unparalleled work ethic.

When Colas needed to rebuild their website to reflect a 5-year goal of growing the business to be alongside the major contractors in the region, they came back to Harlo Interactive to lead design and development. Colas leadership made one requirement clear from the beginning—their new site needed to go the extra mile, just as they do for their clients. Harlo set out to design a construction website that took cues from the creative industry, creating a bold and distinctive design that stood out from its competitors.

A redesigned portfolio reinforces their credibility as a seasoned construction company capable of following through on large-scale projects. By highlighting values and culture, the Colas website also serves as a strong recruitment tool for attracting talent in a notoriously competitive hiring field.
