Strategic e-commerce Design & Development
MiaDonna, a long-term e-commerce client, asked Harlo to rethink the site navigation and homepage design on their Shopify Plus website. The primary goal was to open up access to core commerce pages by expanding, yet simplifying, the navigation scheme. Additionally, prioritizing home page content would help narrate a brand story that educated, informed, and excited visitors.
The primary navigation was segmented into four main categories and positioned with a mega-navigation drop-down menu. Secondary pages were categorized by order of importance based on data provided by past user behavior. The home page redesign was shaped to provide both returning and new consumers quick links into key areas of the website where MiaDonna consistently has seen healthy traffic from its consumers.
With the redesign of the navigation and homepage layout for MiaDonna.com, Harlo has helped the online retailer of conflict-free diamonds, gemstones, and recycled metals lower their overall bounce rate and convert site visitors to new consumers.
